How To Heal a Broken Heart - Tips and Advice on How to Get Over a Break Up

You do not need a doctor to heal your broken heart. You need help healing a broken heart. I do not have a M.D. Degree, but I am able to give you a number of tips and advice on how you can step over a broken heart.

Most important of all, you have to understand that you are a valuable person. A relationship is a two way street. If one person is no longer interested or in love with the other, the relationship is doomed to fail. While you might come up with been able to change a number of things, you must learn from your previous mistakes, but not dwell on them.

Just for the reason that your boyfriend or girlfriend broke up with you does not mean that you will never be in love with another boy or girl again. In fact, before you know what is happening you will be dating again and you do not feel the pain of your broken heart anymore.

The next thing to do is to put your broken relationship where it belongs, in the past. A practical and symbolic way to do this is to get rid of everything that reminds you of your ex. Everything that you don't give back that reminds you of your ex be supposed to be thrown away or boxed up until the ache disappear.

At that time, inform your ex that you don't want to see or talk to each other for a little while. You need to remove the ties that bound you together physically and mentally.

Part of healing a broken heart is to go as fast as you can back into the world as fast as you can Engage your friends and family to let them help you through this broken-hearted process. But, don't bore them with your troubles. In its place, try to have fun with the people you care about.
Keep yourself busy. Hanging at home will not help you. Do you like exercise? You can go to the gym, go out with your buddies, take a dance class, do anything you enjoy. Focus on do anything that will get your mind thinking about something that is not your broken heart.

Take time for yourself and try to look nice, not for someone else, but do it four yourself. Focusing on yourself will help you put aside the pain of your broken heart.

Start to accept dates again even if you don't really feel like going out. Remember dinner is not a commitment, it is just a meal. Plan to go out on a number of dates with different people during this time when you are "testing the waters". Show them a good time, but don't feel obligated to fall in love. Remember that a rebound relationship is rarely fun for the other person.

Healing a broken heart takes time and effort. But, believe me; you will not be in this position forever. You will find another lover again.
